Busy week

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted in 4 days. Things have been incredibly busy here at the school, getting ready to make a journey with Biirna and Jinn tomorrow. Not much progress to report with working out, I was sore for several days this week after my Saturday work-out, apparently I did not sufficiently stretch out before and after. On a healthier note, last night while spending time with Biirna at a dancing social, there was free food and I made very healthy eating decisions, eating carrots, green grapes and drinking a glass of water. Also making progress on this week's goals, already completed "Establishing a Baseline" by filling out a health assessment sheet. Hopefully will finish the other two goals before week's end

Weekly Wrap-up

This week was by far more successful than my first week at the school. Although I have failed to ween myself off of fizzling ale, I did complete my other two challenges for the week, namely "meeting the natives" (work out at least once) and "Summer games" (complete the following regimine twice: walk 2 minutes, run 3 minutes, walk 2 minutes). So, all in all, this week has been a success, and I look forward to the next week at the school.

Weekend Warrior

After an early morning music rehearsal and afternoon playing with kitties and studying for exams, I visited the gym this evening. Did some weight lifting for about 10 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of walking/running, and another 5 minutes fight training on the punching bag. With that, I succeeded in one of my goals for this week, to work out at least twice. Unfortunately, weening myself off of fizzing ale has proven to be far more difficult...

Workout w/ Biirna and Zilya

I went to the Gym a forenight ago and worked out with Biirna and Zilya, both of whom were also at the School gym. I spent most of the time running, at first around the local track (including a 2 minute walk - 3 minute run - 2 minute walk), and then on a mechanized automatic runner, which I used for an additional 15 minutes. Needless to say I was winded and tired after all this running, but I decided to join Biirna and Zilya in the weight room for some strength training, focusing on my arms strength. After all, one must have strong arms to swing a strong sword. I had a lot of fun, looking forward to working out again with Biirna and Zilya, it is really transforming my training into a social activity.

Musical adventures in a far, away land

I have finally been able to write in my journal, the first entry for several days. I have spent the last several days in the far off land of Pari, half a world away from the school. The travel itself was arduous, and time itself seemed to warp. I entered in a music competition for solo lute, but unfortunately the judges did not care for my interpretations, and I did not advance the past the 1st round. Despite this setback, I was able to take advantage of the opportunity to explore a new city. My explorations entailed several hours of walking around various parts of the city, most notably a large metal spire piercing the sky. I ascended to the summit of this spire, and could see in all directions as far as the eye could see. A truly breathtaking experience, to say nothing of exhausting. Also on the plus sude, they do not have fizzling ales here, and alas I was forced to drink several glasses of water during my journey. I now am preparing for the return trip to the school, to begin boss battles and fitness training with a renewed vigor. Looking forward to seeing all the new members of the health school, maybe to do a boss battle in the coming week

Equipment for training

Had a good walk a few days ago and met one of the other new students here, Biirna. She is very kind and I enjoyed getting to know her as we explored the grounds of the school. After 20 minutes or so we went our seperate ways, but I told her I'd like to walk with her again.

An armory festival passed by the school, I decided to walk over and browse their selection, which took about 30 minutes. I'm always torn between the temptation to "upgrade" my equipment and weaponry, and the feeling that my current weaponry and armor have served me well thus far. "If it doth not break, doth not fix it" so to speak.

Looking forward to meeting more students as the weekend comes to a close, having a glass of water before I head off to practice some music :)

Arrival at last

At long last, I have arrived at the School, only to find I was among the last arrivals of new students; Embarrassing, to say the least. I am eager to begin my studies, there are many interesting students of all races and classes here, and I am eager to attain a greater personal strength. To that end, I walked for 30 minutes last night, exploring the school's facilities and observing the other new arrivals. Haven't met any of the teachers at the school yet, but I am sure this will change soon enough...
